Business Developer of Latin American Market

We are looking for a Market Manager with the experience and opportunity to grow the Latin American market of Technoform, promoting the company products and solutions and building the local company as part of the Technoform global company. The responsibility includes growing the existing business in Latin America by providing support to current customers. Build relations with architectural and glazing contractors to understand their specifications and accordingly introduce our products. Investigating, introducing and presenting all the plastic applications of Technoform for the Latin American market and evaluating their market presence. Building and delivering a strategic vision for the market. You also have the opportunity to manage the local company regarding legal and financial presence in one of the Latin American countries by aligning with the Technoform company values and standards. Technoform has a global network of competency and motivated employees working to collaborate on future vision. Interaction and communication with the teams around the world is needed.

Your responsibilities:

Expansion of the existing business – insulation solutions for windows, doors and facades

  • Training in Europe for understanding and being updated on the range of product offering.
  • Current customers have different levels of product implementation of polyamide for thermal break in windows, doors and façades. Technoform provides support in their technical or commercial needs.
  • Promote and develop the thermal break systems of potential customers in any country of the Latin America area.
  • Be well informed of the international trends in window and façade design, specially the European window systems for their quality solutions. Participate in yearly visits to fairs in Europe and build permanent contacts with Technoform Competence Center.
  • Understand the different needs of each country or region in terms of norms, design, climate or aesthetics.
  • Build and maintain long-term business relations with current and potential customers.
  • Be close to windows associations to actively participate in norms or laws related to thermal insulation.

New products implementation – thermal edge bond solutions for insulating glass

  • Training in Europe for understanding and being updated on the range of product offering.
  • Market analysis and introduction of the warm edge spacer - analyse the glass market needs, penetration strategy, competitors and accepted pricing in each country or area of the region.
  • Introduce the product to architectural studios and understand specifications at façade level.
  • Build a strong market presence for Technoform warm edge spacers.
  • Be close to glass associations to actively participate in norms or laws related to thermal insulation.

New products implementation – tailored engineering plastics solutions and heat transfer solutions

  • Training in Europe for understanding and being updated on the range of product offering
  • Conduct market analysis and identify the potential industries where the range of products can be offered by tailored engineering plastics solutions and heat transfer solutions

Company management

  • Build strategic vision and accompanying business development plans with a short and long-term goal for Latin American market.
  • Comply with the company standards in building an operational plan and deliver the results monitored on a determined frequency and/or major changes.
  • Maintain company financial and accounting files using the standard P&L and balance sheet to report on current status.
  • Create professional medium and language of communication with all stakeholders. Build a social media presence for Technoform in the local market.
  • Align with Technoform Values, Principles and Philosophies to understand and promote the company’s vision. Partner and collaborate with stakeholders with similar views.

Your required qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering with minor in marketing and business
  • Expert in plastics applications with 2 or more years of experience
  • Competencies required:
    • Ability to communicate professionally with open and direct ideas and thoughts
    • Ability to building relations and partnering with stakeholders
    • Self-motivated and self-guided individual working with remote teams
    • Entrepreneurial spirit to work on projects from initial research to building systems and markets in new areas and regions i.e. penetrating the market first time
    • Ability to build relations across multi-cultural global Technoform presence with various stakeholders
  • Other requirements:
    • Local person or with permanent residence in the Latin American region
    • Speaks Spanish, Portuguese and English
    • Open to travel locally and internationally - around 60% of the time in the first years.
    • Able to work remotely
    • Open to work with global colleagues managing through different time zones in a flexible work environment
