Shipping/Receiving & Finishing Team Member
Your tasks
- Preparation and shipment of custom plastic profiles for customer shipments.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound trucks using tow motor.
- Verify and keep records on incoming and outgoing shipments using Excel.
- Complete weekly and monthly cycle counts on selected inventory.
- Updating and maintaining physical and perpetual inventory using inventory management systems.
- Maintaining records and documentation per ISO and process requirements
- Support fulfillment of materials to production stations, stocking packaging materials and removing finished goods to prepare for shipment or put in inventory.
- Focus on quality and continuous improvement.
- Operating finishing machine for processing and preparation of custom plastic profiles.
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on finishing equipment.
- Measure parts using calipers.
- Maintain clean and organized work area through 5S.
- Communicate with other team members to maintain quality, operational, efficiency and safety metrics.
Your required qualifications
- Min 1 year in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to drive a forklift or able to pass a forklift certification course.
- Working with light packaging equipment.
- Willingness to learn and operate light hand tools.
- Working in a team-based environment.
- Entrepreneurial nature: Self-directed, goal-oriented, customer focused.
- Math aptitude.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time.
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Willingness to learn.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to lift 50 to 75 lbs.
- Ability to travel (potential one or two customer or supplier visits per year).
- Experience with quality control and ISO.
- Prior Inventory Management.
- Prior Shipping/Receiving and Material Handling experience.
