The Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) Facilities Maintenance Building is a combination of office, maintenance shop, and storage and has been designed to Passive House Standards. Including Technoform's thermal isolator clip in the fiber cement wall panels improves thermal performance of the building envelope and helps the project to achieve LEED GOLD certification.

The project has a particular focus on sustainability, energy, and resilience and while the new building itself is fairly simple to the naked eye, the importance of it is these unique and intricate layers of sustainability buried within the walls. The DCAMM facility is truly the first of its kind for the community.

Ultimately, the DCAMM Facilities Maintenance Building demonstrates that high performance is achieved not through a single solution, but through a carefully integrated system of components working together. Incorporating Technoform’s thermal isolator clip within the fiber cement wall assembly is a key part of this strategy, helping to minimize thermal bridging and maintain a continuous insulation layer across the façade. By addressing these often-overlooked connection points, the design strengthens the overall building envelope, supporting both Passive House performance goals and long-term energy efficiency. In a project defined by resilience and sustainability, details like the thermal isolator clip play a critical role in turning ambitious performance targets into real, measurable outcomes.
